Feel free to download and use the resources provided for free on this website for teaching The Call to Shakabaz. Just click on the links on the drop-down menu.
The Teacher’s Study Guide provided here is large and comprehensive, more than you could ever want! Feel free to browse through it and select activities and ideas to use. There is a short list of study questions at the back of the book and it is provided here also (the one-page study guide). A longer list of Study Questions is available by clicking the link below (the two-page study guide). The Study Questions offer a quick and easy tool for classroom use. Teachers report successfully reading the book aloud to students in grades three through eleven.
I have created an Accelerated Reader Quiz that you can cut and paste into your Renaissance Learning module that allows you to upload your own quizzes. (The key is not provided at this website to prevent clever students from finding it. Email me if you need it sent. If you have read the book, the answers to the questions are obvious.)
The Call to Shakabaz is written at Flesch-Kincaid Level 6.54.
